History
2002
CiTO Polyclinic was founded on June 16, 2002. in Split, under the direction of the primarius mr.sc. Boris Poljak, MD
From a small clinic in 2002 to an organization that is today with a vision to expand.
2006
After 4 years of existence, in 2006 the Polyclinic expanded to an additional 100m2 of space, in which we opened another gynecological unit.
Newly opened Gynecological unit was and is still lead by doc.dr.sc. Nađa Aračić, MD
2006
Also in 2006 Polyclinic opened first private Medically assisted reproduction laboratory in region. The laboratory is recording outstanding results, so to this date over 3000 babies are born from our medically assisted reproduction program.
Newly opened laboratory for Medically Assisted Reproduction (IVF) was lead by embryologist dr.sc. Pavle Romca, dipl. ing.biology.
2007
In April 2007 Polyclinic Cito joined another expert doctor, specialist oncologist, Nived Frleta Ilić, dr.med.
Nives Frleta Ilić, dr.med. is one of the leading experts in her field of work with vast experience
2008
In August 2008, due to extreme success of Medically Assisted Reproduction program Team of experts was joined by another embriologist mr.sc. Anamarija Baranović, dipl. Ing. Biology.
mr.sc. Anamarija Baranovic, dipl.ing.biology participated in the realization of the first pregnancy by the procedure of medically assisted fertilization in KB Split in 2001.
2014
In September 2014, Polyclinic Cito took over the Salus ST Special Hospital, which expanded our space by an additional 500m2.
Along side the acquisition we also opened clinics for urology, surgery and anesthesiology, and a day hospital with 4 apartments.

Newly opened Urological unit was lead by mr.sc. Jelena Schwenner-Radovniković, MD.
From 2000 to 2014, mr.sc. Jelena Schwenner-Radovniković, MD was an employee of the Salus Special Hospital, and from September 2014 she joined the professional team of the Cito Polyclinic.
2017
Due to increase demands of our Medically assisted reproduction laboratory, Polyclinic Cito welcomed another expert embryologist, Lucija Romac, dipl.ing. biology.
After finishing Faculty of Science, Expermental biology Lucija Romac, dipl.ing. biology decided to join team of embryologist at Polyclinic Cito
2021
In June 2021 Polyclinic Cito was joined by another specialist in Gynecology Petar Poljak, MD.
After finishing his education at KBC Split, Clinic for Womens Diseases and Obstetrics Petar Poljak, MD decided to continue his education and professional career at Polyclinic Cito.

Since its inception, the clinic has its own computer network with Internet access, and thanks to the intranet network and website , the CiTO polyclinic was one of the first medical institutions in the Republic of Croatia to enable online booking of examinations as early as 2002.
