Anesthesiology is a medical specialty

that deals with the reduction or removal of consciousness and sensations of external stimuli (anesthesia), or reduction or elimination of pain (analgesia)

during various diagnostic or therapeutic medical, usually surgical procedures, while continuous monitoring of vital functions and maintenance of internal homeostasis organism within physiological limits.

The risk of acupuncture is low if you have a certified doctor. Common side effects are a mild feeling of pain and small bleeding at the site of the needle puncture. If you have a bleeding disorder the chances of bleeding are higher, if you have a cardiac simulator (pace maker) the acupuncture can interfere with the work of the heart because the application of mild electrical impulses to the needles is used. Also in pregnancy acupuncture is not recommended.

After the treatment, some people feel relaxed and the general condition improves and the pain decreases. Not everyone responds positively to acupuncture and if your symptoms don’t start to improve within a couple of acupuncture treatments it may not be the right choice for you. Given the low risk of complications when performing acupuncture, it is worth a try if you have problems controlling pain with conventional methods.
