September 2008. 100th baby was born under the in vitro fertilisation programme at "CiTO" Polyclinic, a healthy baby girl weighing 4,250 grams and 53 cm long. 04. April 2008. On 4 April 2008, embryologist Pavle Romac, DSc, was certified by the ESHRE as a Senior Clinical Embriologist. 07. December 2007. In November 2007, the Polyclinic acquired a modern diagnostic hysteroscope. 22. September 2007. After we put into operation the most contemporary apparatus for computer-aided semen analysis, it was presented on our website. In more detail 18. March 2007. CiTO Polyclinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics was founded in 2002 in Split, headed by Boris Poljak, MD, MSc, and was from the outset envisaged as a modern diagnostic and treatment centre for women’s health care from childhood to the ripe age.

From the very start the Polyclinic used state-of-the-art equipment such as 2D, black and white, and Colour Power Doppler ultrasound equipment, the cardiotocograph, the cryotherapy device, the amnioscope etc.

As of establishment, the Polyclinic has had its own IT system with high-speed DSL Internet connection. Owing to its computer network and website, CiTO Polyclinic was one of the first healthcare establishments in the Republic of Croatia that as early as in 2002 provided on-line reservation of appointments.

We continually follow the developments in medicine and medical technology, so in 2004 we acquired the most advanced 3D/4D Colour Power Doppler Voluson 730 4D Live, and in 2009 we acquired an even more advanced 4D ultrasound equipment – the Voluson E8.

This equipment for the first time brought closer to the patients hard to discern 2D ultrasound images, adding the third dimension for as accurate as possible representation.

In 2005, Vladimir Šparac, MD, DSc, joined the medical team at CiTO Polyclinic whereby our activities extended to include gynaecological surgery.

After 4 years, in 2006, the Polyclinic expanded its facilities to additional 100m2 of space where we opened another polyvalent gynaecological office headed by Nađa Aračić, MD, and the laboratory for in vitro fertilization headed by a renowned embryologist Pavle Romac, DSc.
The Polyclinic brings together some of the most distinguished experts who work in the facilities equipped with state-of-the-art devices, and this potential has been recognised by our numerous patients who placed their trust in the Polyclinic. Today, CiTO Polyclinic is one of the largest establishments of this type in southern Croatia, with the tendency of expansion and further modernization.
